TIME-SENSITIVE: APPLICATION DEADLINE FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19th, 2016

Attention Market Farmers:

The Greenbelt Farmers’ Market Network is excited to announce a new cost-sharing program, the 2016 Production Opportunities Program. This initiative will offer $500 - $2,000 in matching funding for approximately 25 projects which will bring new or improved products to markets in 2016.

Will you be participating in one or more Greenbelt Farmers’ Market Network markets this year?

Do you have a project which you want to implement in 2016, to develop/improve products grown, raised, or made primarily out of ingredients from your farm? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

The 2016 Production Opportunities Program will support projects designed to achieve one or more of the following objectives:

  • improve the quality of products
  • increase production efficiency
  • extend seasonal availability
  • broaden selection at markets
  • scale up production of in-demand items

Interested farmers may apply for up to 50% of the total cost of equipment or supplies for their projects, to a maximum of $2,000.
